Xentek Motorsport will expand to a three-car entry in the Ginetta GT Championship next weekend at Donington Park (25-26 May), with experienced BMW racer Callum Noble joining the team for his Ginetta racing debut.
The South Yorkshire team have enjoyed a fantastic start to the 2024 GT Championship season with no less than eight podium finishes across the opening two rounds with Conner and Luke Garlick, and they’re targeting further success next weekend with an exciting three-pronged attack.
Noble makes the move into Ginetta competition for the first time with nine years of experience competing in BMW machinery. Initially contesting three years in the Production BMW Championship in an E30, he then acquired an E46 M3 to enter the 2018 Cartek Roadsports series.
Moving into the MSVR Supercup the following year, a superb debut season saw him crowned the Class B champion at the first attempt. After continuing in that series for two more years, he’s since enjoyed a spell competing in the Britcar Trophy.
The Hampshire-based racer has enjoyed a strong first test behind the wheel of a Ginetta G56 GT Pro recently and will be aiming to enjoy a competitive debut performance at Donington Park in the GT Championship’s Am class.
Sarah-Jayne McKenna – Team Manager: “It’s fantastic to be welcoming Callum to the team for his Ginetta debut. It’s a big challenge stepping into a new championship and a new car, but he’s shown some good promise in the track time he’s had so far.
“With the support of Conner and Luke as team-mates, we’re confident Callum will make good progress through the event and come away with some strong race results.”
Callum Noble: “I’m very excited to be joining the Ginetta GT Championship for the first time with Xentek Motorsport. This level of racing is new to me, but everyone at Xentek have been very welcoming and have made the step very manageable. I look forward to seeing what we achieve at Donington Park.”
The third round of the 2024 Ginetta GT Championship season will see the drivers contest three races around the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit, all of which will be streamed live online via Ginetta’s YouTube channel.
