Xentek Motorsport have added Hannah Chapman to their driver line-up for the 2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, with the talented racer set to make her debut in the championship.
Joining the previously announced Sam Harvey in the South Yorkshire team’s line-up for their third season in the championship, Chapman will enter the hotly-contested ‘CS Am’ class behind the wheel of a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
Chapman has made a name for herself in tin-top competition to date. A successful spell in the Scottish MINI Cooper Cup yielded race victories and class titles, with those achievements earning her many accolades including the SMRC Driver of the Year award on three occasions.
The Dunfermline-based racer stepped up to the MINI Challenge UK in 2019. Impressing with a podium finish in her maiden season in the Cooper PRO class, she went on to establish herself in the headline JCW series and last season celebrated a JCW Sport class win at her home circuit, Knockhill.
Chapman now makes the exciting transition to one-make GT racing for the first time in the Sprint Challenge GB, competing as a brand ambassador for Millers Oils with further support from Global Freight Connections and Mairon Motorsport Management.
Christopher Richards - Team Principal: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Hannah to the Xentek Motorsport family for her Porsche Sprint Challenge GB debut. She’s enjoyed some fantastic results in MINI racing over the years, so we’re excited to see what she can achieve in the Cayman.
“Hannah is coming into the season with huge passion and determination, and we’re really looking forward to working with her. We’re confident we can provide the car and support she needs to make a real impact in the championship.”
Hannah Chapman: “I can’t explain how much of a big deal this is for me. I was so close to retirement from motorsport so I won’t be taking a single minute of this second chance for granted.
“To become a competitor in the prestigious Porsche paddock is an incredible feeling and I can’t wait to begin this new learning curve. I’ll be putting everything I’ve got into this opportunity to make sure I’m the best I can be for my team and sponsors.
“I’ve already got a fantastic team in Xentek Motorsport supporting me. They’ve been nothing but welcoming, professional and have gone over and above for me so we’re off to a great start in building the foundations for a brilliant season ahead.”
Launched in 2020, the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB is one of the top one-make GT championships in the UK. The series utilises two-generations of Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 machinery, Clubsport and RS, with a large grid including classes for both Professional and Amateur drivers.
The 2025 Sprint Challenge GB season will be contested over 18 races across six events, all of which will take place on the support package of the British Touring Car Championship. The season gets underway at Donington Park over the weekend of 26/27 April.
