Xentek Motorsport continued their impressive podium run in the British Endurance Championship with another standout performance at Oulton Park (06 July).
The South Yorkshire team kicked off the second half of the BEC season in high spirits having scored three podium finishes in the opening three races with talented driver pairing Bal Sidhu and Josh Steed.
The two former Ginetta GT5 Challenge class champions were straight back on the leading pace behind the wheel of their Porsche Cayman GT4 RS, lapping second fastest overall and quickest in Class D in free practice around the full International circuit at the Cheshire venue.
Sidhu secured them second in class on the grid for the two-hour race. Tackling tricky changeable conditions at points, they put in a supreme performance to move into the class lead and ultimately secure a third win of the campaign, doing so in a hugely impressive, seasons’ best second overall.
Christopher Richards – Team Principal: “Bal and Josh are reaching new heights every time they go racing in the British Endurance Championship. It was another faultless couple of days from them both, with fast and consistent pace from the opening session through to the end of the race. To finish second overall with another class win is a brilliant achievement and we’re immensely proud of their performance.”
The penultimate round of the British Endurance Championship takes place next month (10 August) at Donington Park.
