Xentek Motorsport have continued their 100% podium record in the 2024 British Endurance Championship with a brilliant class win at Silverstone (15 June).
Entering the new Porsche Cayman GT4 RS into the championship for the first time, the Bal Sidhu and Josh Steed immediately established themselves as front-runners in their class again and an exemplary qualifying performance in tricky wet conditions from Sidhu netted them class pole position in third overall.
Sidhu and Steed, both former Ginetta GT5 Challenge class champions with Xentek, went on to produce a flawless performance across the two-hour race. Maintaining a great pace throughout, their efforts were rewarded with a second class win and a second overall top three race finish of the season, which earnt Xentek the championship's 'Outstanding Achievement of the Weekend' award.
Sarah-Jayne McKenna – Team Manager: “Bal and Josh continue to get better and better every time out in the British Endurance Championship, and this was definitely their most impressive all-round performance of the season so far. In changing conditions, they were fast throughout and made no mistakes. To bring home another overall top three result is amazing and we’re delighted with their success."
The 2024 British Endurance Championship season continues in two weeks’ time (Saturday 6th July) as Xentek Motorsport return to Oulton Park for a two-hour race on the International Circuit.
